An Alien In The Countryside

"I've got to keep running...for Jenny."

Perhaps you've seen this cute lil fella making the rounds on various UFO boards with a long "true" story about its origins. Is it an elf? Is it an alien?  No!  it's this model:

And when your slow friends inevitably ask "Well how do we KNOW it's that model," you can tell him/her/it, "Because the hoaxer emailed everything to Jeremy at Culture of Contact. He was doing a social experiment and meant no harm."

And when that same friend inevitably asks, "Well how do we KNOW he emailed Jeremy," you can sign him/her/it up for Stephen Greer's newsletter. I think he needs money for a free energy device or something.

Billy Meier - Updated With Rep's Response!

Posted on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at 03:51PM by Registered CommenterCulture of Contact in | CommentsPost a Comment

There have been numerous photo/video experts who have analyzed Billy Meier's footage and concluded that it is hoaxed. His American rep. likes to tout experts of his own--except that when asked, most of them say that he deeply misrepresents their conclusions. All of this can be found online and most easily in several threads at http://www.abovetopsecret.com

Yet and still, some people find it all hard to follow. Mainly this is because Billy has given out so much information it's hard to know where to start. Frankly, it's just plain easier to believe the case than not. It doesn't help that Larry King Live continues to show his older footage as commercial bumpers on UFO-related episodes.

So how do we cut through all of this to find the truth? Is there one hoaxed object we can all agree upon? It turns out that, yes there is. Take a look at the photo below. To most people it looks like an awful model without having to point anything in particular out. Still, there are many who are so invested in Billy's story--because it involves pseudo religious texts and things that speak to them personally, their rational judgment is completely clouded by belief. So even this ridiculous model they take on faith is a space craft.

However, search the top left of the "craft," just underneath the second row of bulbs. Notice something Billy missed? That's right, one of the pegs or pins or nails--or whatever it is--fell out of place and onto the hull. It came unglued and fell onto the hull. Billy says this is a real spaceship.

Rationality tells us it's a HOAX.

UPDATE 8.18.08

As if sent by a Plejaren god to illustrate my point about people who are so overly invested in this having to be real that it clouds their rational judgment, none other than Billy Meier's U.S. Representative, Michael Horn, emailed me a response to this photo. It reads:

"MIsperceptions, i.e. ASSUMPTIONS are as follows:

spikes
hole
spike lying on the hull

HOW do you know that those are what you think they are?

You don't know what you're looking at and your prejudices are causing you to make unsubstantiated assumptions..."

So there you have it: the official position is assume the position.

Need I say more?

Mexican Air Force FLIR Video

formaci7.jpg   Insert illegal alien joke here.

Remember the Mexican Air Force lights shot through infrared? Of course you do. You still see them popping up on websites like MySpace with a little quiz question, "Are UFOs Real?" And the answer is, yes. But so are IFOs - Identified Flying Objects. This case represents neither for nothing is flying. But it is identified. And it is an oil rig. Check out the fine research here:
